Casualties of Retail

And Lo, the Christmas season is upon us....... yay. Yeah, I know, 'bout damn time for an update. Well, I've Been really busy with work and all, we got all the stuff in the Manor House put away so that we can start to decorate it today. 22 rooms, over 50 trees.... oh yeah, this is gonna be fun. I've actually never worked for the set up though, in past years I've had classes which prevented me from working it, so I'm looking forward to going in at 2:30 and seeing the chaos that is the start of the Holidays in the Manor House.

Backtracking a little, the last day at Providence was one of the best days at work I have ever had. The main thing we head to do that day was laundry, so we went over to Grand Rapids to do it at the Laundromat they had there, but it was closed for repairs. Angela and I ended up driving down to B.G. and spending almost the whole day there taking care of the laundry, it was awesome. The place we went was playing oldies on the radio, they had a REALLY old vending machine, and it just felt like I should've had on bobby socks, a scrunchie, and a big flannel shirt tied in front. I called Joe and we played the "Guess where I am" game for a bit, it was fun. On the way back to Providence, we saw some of those new windmills (which are really cool), a whole lot of flat, and....... wait for it........ a Llama! Yes, that's right, a Llama. Like I said, one of the best days at work ever.

I haven't been writing much lately, mostly because I haven't had time too. Maybe once things at work have calmed down a bit I'll be able to get back to it.

Oh, I also made my radio debut the other day. I stopped by Toys-R-Us to donate to the salvation army, which I do every year, and Kiss FM was broadcasting live. A guy asked me if I wanted to go on the radio, I shrugged, and next thing I know I'm being asked what me motivation for donating was and getting hit on, on air, by a bunch of the DJ's who thought I was cute (waves a card with a name and number on it) Who rocks? Yes, that would be me.

So, yeah..... it's been crazy. I still have all my Christmas shopping to do and I'll probably end up doing it all the week before Christmas. Ah well, t'is the price I pay for not liking to sit on my butt all the time, at least I'm not bored :D
